Chantel.

Chantel was one of the first people I met when I came to Vancouver in 2008. I worked on many of her recording sessions at Mushroom Studios; when I had left audio, she asked me to shoot the recording of her new album and of course I said yes! Being in the control room of a recording studio for different purposes other than to record felt odd, but it was a familiar odd. 

Vancouver Aquarium.

I recently stubbled across the works of Malia James (www.maliajames.com) who had recently photographed an aquarium in Los Angeles. I liked the way she had captured the day to day life of the water world, especially the colours and degrees of emotion in her human subjects. It was a difficult day, the aquarium in Vancouver was full and spending any time in front of a tank proved difficult. Here are a few photos I took.

Searching for the Quiet. 

Jamison Troy (www.myspace.com/jamisontroy)is Vancouver based singer/ songwriter... he's also a friend. I was lucky enough to be able to document the recording of his new album, Searching for the Quiet. I love my life.
